We Send the Paperwork

Our office staff will send the required paperwork to your medical provider for certification.

Q: Do I qualify for diabetic shoes in Spokane?
A: If you have diabetes, meet Medicare guidelines and have insurance that participates in this program, you may qualify for diabetic shoes and custom orthotics each year, often at little or no cost. Call us to see if you qualify. 
Q: Do I need a prescription?
A: Your primary care physician will need to fill out a certification form confirming your diabetes diagnosis and one or more of the six qualifying conditions recognized by Medicare. 
Q: How often can I receive therapeutic shoes?
A: Eligible patients may receive one new pair of therapeutic shoes and up to three pairs of inserts per calendar year or every 12 months depending on your insurance.
Q: Will I have to pay anything out of pocket?
A: Some patients are covered at 100%, while others may have a copay depending on their insurance plan and secondary coverage.
Q: How long does a fitting take?
A: The first visit is approximately 30 minutes and involves a comprehensive foot evaluation, including a 3D foot scan, review of medical history, foot measurements, shoe recommendations, and more.
Q: How long does the process take from start to finish?
A: Most patients receive their shoes within 5-7 weeks from the first fitting appointment. However, timing varies and can take longer depending on when all required documentation is received from your doctor.  
Q: Do you serve patients outside of Spokane?
A: Yes. We welcome patients from nearby towns and surrounding areas.

Q: What is the difference between therapeutic shoes and regular shoes?
A: Therapeutic shoes are designed with extra depth, protective interiors, support, and room for custom inserts to help prevent pressure points, ulcers, and irritation.
